Gala Dinner : "Restaurant Chez le Pèr'Gras" - Bastille

The restaurant of the Pèr'Gras is the gastronomic stop to discover in Grenoble. Located at the top of the Bastille, the restaurant's terrace overlooks Grenoble and its surroundings. This bastion of Grenoble's gastronomy, dominating Grenoble, still holds a place of choice among the very popular places of the capital of the Alps, because here the place and gourmet recipes provide a magical experience.

Technical Tour : Grand Maison Power Plant & Hydrelec Museum
Grand'Maison is one of the last born of the big dams in Europe. It is located upstream of the Romanche valley between the Belledonne and Grandes Rousses massifs, in the department of Isère.
The Grand'Maison power station is a Pumped Energy Transfer Station (STEP). An upper reservoir is connected to a lower basin located at the powerhouse. During periods of high consumption, the powerhouse turbine the water from the upper reservoir. The water then reaches the downstream basin. In off-peak periods, mainly at night and during the weekends, the water from the lower reservoir is pumped to the upper reservoir. The system thus makes it possible the rapid response to a spike in consumption.
The Grand'Maison power plant consists of 2 plants, which total 12 units, 1800 MW available in just 3 minutes. The first plant, outside, is equipped with 4 turbine groups and the other one, underground, is located 70 m lower, with 8 groups called "reversible" turbines -they function both as turbines and as pumps.

The power plant, which has an installed capacity of 9% of the capacity of the hydropower fleet operated by EDF in France, plays a major role in the regulation of the national electricity network.
